As was announced a few weeks ago, as of yesterday (June 28, 2011), Random House and Lucas Films have released the entire library of “Star Wars” books in e-book format (under both the Del Rey and Bantam imprints). A quick look at the Amazon (US) site this moring showed that several currently have a $0.00 price, so you might want to pop in soon and take a look, just in case any of those prices are a mistake. (Just sort that link by price, low-to-high, to check for the freebies.)

Personally, I’ve never read any of these. While I enjoyed the original three movies — but was not so hot about the next three — they never struck me as the sort of stories I would care for in my science fiction reading. But I guess now that I can sample them (and download some freebies), I can find out for sure. Hopefully any of my readers who are hard-core Star Wars fans will find this to be great news.
